Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support

My husband and i have an account together. he owes child support but is making payments.yesterday child support took everything out of are account . they dont have a court order to do that. What can i do? I called and told them that half that money is mine but the would not talk to me or give me anyinformation. How can i get back at least some money back to pay bills and buy food?

You should take all of the documents from child support services to an attorney to determine the current status of his case. In the mean time do not keep money in a joint account. When a joint account is attached they do not divide the amount between the parties. Keep only enough money in the joint account to cover your household bills until the situation is resolved.
