Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

My husband is frequently delinquent on his son's child support from previous marrage. Our court date is upcoming to determine custody/visitation. i expect most of custody-is his previous support situation likely to ''supercede'' my own daughter's needs if he says he has no money to support her too,due to amount he already owes his ex(case in different county also). He is ''self-employed'' with what he says is zero income (for approx last year).
