Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support

Husband left in Sept. 08 and just filed for Divorce in Feb.09 through a legal document services that will be handling all the paper work. This will be a total aggrement arrangment so to stay out of court, he only paid for the divorce part but hasn't started paying for the child support of it yet. When he does finaly pay for that part will he have to pay for support from the time he left/the time he filed divorce or when he files the rest of the papers. Also, I have 2 daughters 1 just turned 17 in march 09 and 1 just turned 18 in Jan,09 will I get anything for her?

Re: child support

Per family code section 4009, the court has discretion to start child support only from the date of the filing of the divorce, but can choose a later date, most commonly the date someone filed for a court hearing requesting support. Per family code section 3901, support continues for any child under 19 who continues to be a FULL TIME high school student.
