Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support

My ex husband has told me that even tho he does not provide medical insurance or any other support other than the $200 a month he pays I can't change our divorce decree to allow me to claim our daughter every year at tax time. He is not paying the amount of child support that it says. He also says that they will only go after his wages that have now gone from $25 an hour to $8.25 an hour and not that of the buisness his wife owns. He says that i will get less than what he gives our daughter now since he has three other children with his current wife. Is anything he's telling me correct or can i have our decree changed in that where taxes are concerned since my husband and i support our daughter?

Re: child support

Just have you tax preparer complete an anaylsis to determine who gets the deduction. It's decided by the IRS, not the family law court.
