Child Support
Is there a legal maximum percentage that can be garnished from a persons pay check?

Yes. I am not on the percentage. It may be half of net, but I am not sure. Call if you'd like me to do the research.

Unless the law has changed the maximum was 25% for debts and 50% for child support, unless the court signs an order raising the amount to 75%. These amounts are after taxes have been deducted. Child support is taken out first and once 25% has been reached no debt other than child support can be attached.

I believe it is 50%.
