Child support

What is the legal percentage of ones earnings that can be deducted for child support? Can you change the cild support order to decrease if income has decreased? Also can you reduce back child support based on earnings the years in arears? Do I need a laywer to represent me in court for these matters?

Normally, it is 50% however this per cent can be increased by a judge. A decrease in income would be cause for a modification to reduce the support. You do not need an attorney, however, if you are in Ohio and the court is in California, it may be easier and cheaper to hire an attorney than to travel to make court appearrances.
