Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child support and legal resposibility

I'm a 15yr old high school sophmore who made a big mistake. I had sex once with a girl my same age

from school, we brokeup and 4mos later now, she said that she is pragnant. Her mother wants to keep the baby and help her raise it, but I think she should put the baby up for adoption and my parents agree this would be the best thing to do for everyone, too. If she keeps the baby would I or my parents be resposible for any financial payments?

Re: Child support and legal resposibility

First of all, you are entitled to DNA testing to make sure it's your kid. That will cost about $600. Do it.

Your parents are not responsible financially.

You are responsible, but not until you turn age 18.

You and your parents, if you are in fact the father, are entitled to visitation with the child.
