Child Support Liablity

If I marr a man who owes current and back child supoort , Can I file a separate tax return so his responsibility is not mine? And, is anything I bring to the marriage safe from any levy of my assets including my 40lK, Social Security etc.

Filing married and separately is the highest tax bracket. You should consider filing a joint tax return and keeping the deductions low so there is no refund to be attached. You should consult with your tax preparer as to the best approach.
