child support

Is it mandatory to have to pay child support or can a agreement be made that in a 50 percent custody agreement that no child support will be asked for from either parent.

Re: child support

The parties can agree to other than the guideline. The court must approve such an agreement. Unless both parties have about equal income the court may not approve such an order.
