child support

Im about to get married with my boyfrined that is paying child support...I have kids on my own and would not like for them to deduct any of my salary for his child support...can this happen???

Re: child support

The general rule is that new spouse income is not responsible for the payment of child support. However, if a writ of attachment is served on a bank any funds in an account with his name on it will be taken. Therefore maintaining separate bank accounts would be advisable.
