Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support Modification

I recently began receiving less hours at work so my pay has dramatically decreased. Which forms do I need to file to modify my child support payments? Child Support Services is also involved. They are currently garnishing my wages for back pay

In a general sense, you need to file an O.S.C. to modify the existing support order. You also will have to file an Income & Expense Declaration because you are asking for financial orders. You will have to serve the other party as well as the D.A. The sooner you file the sooner you may be able to obtain relief.

For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!

Good luck to you!
