Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support Modification

Yolo County-

My divorce and child custody was in Yolo county. I currently live in another state. Father lives in another county in CA.

How do I go about modifying the child support? Is it something I can do by myself? My funds are quite limited.

I do not want to have to go to CA to go to court. The father has been paying the support so that isn't an issue.

The child support agency says they can't help as it went through the court system. I am having trouble getting in touch with the familiy law facilitator but I don't know if he can help me anyway.

Thanks so much for your help.

Re: Child Support Modification

Contact the California Child support Agency in the county in which he resides and ask for help. If you open a case with the child support agency they should then proceed to prepare the paper work to open a child support case for you.
