Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child support and moving out of state.

I may be relocated to the state of Nevada with my job. I currently have 50% legal and physical custody of my 2 daughters. My salary would be 70 thou and my ex-wife's is 35 thou. If I moved out of state and had my children for 9 weeks in the summer, 1 week during Christmas break, 1 week for Easter break, and my parents living here localy having one overnight per month as per grandparent right's court order, what would my approximate support payments be? If I move I will only have 11 weeks out of the year including my parents having an overnight visit once a month.

Re: Child support and moving out of state.

Based only on the information you provided, support would be around $1,200 per month. Higher if you're remarried and she's not. Higher if you have mortgage interest deduction and she does not. Higher if she has daycare. Higher if she has other deductions and you don't. Possibly lower if the court allows you to deduct travel expense for visitation.
