Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child Support Orders and Modifications
My child support was modified in June. I am paying $650.00 month for 1 child up from $350.00. My ex claims hardship due to an older child from a previous relationship,$200.00 of this order is for child care. My ex makes only $150.00 less per month than my salary, she remarried in July. My child started school in September. She also moved without my notice 2 yrs ago 300 miles away, she makes it hard to see my son, we have joint custody. Can I do anything and can I request a receipt for child care? My son was not in daycare all summer, he is also in public school.

Re: Child Support Orders and Modifications
Did you oppose her motion for modification? If you did and lost it is probably too soon to return to court. If you want better visitation file a motion. Ask her for proof of child care costs. The $200 figure might be based on a prorated cost for the year and not the actual monthly charge for each month.
