Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

Hello, This is a two part question pertaining to child support. First, can I tell the payor to pick up the check at my home? Second, must I pay in one lump sum per month or can I give 3 or 4 checks?

Re: Child Support

Generally child support is due in one payment on the first day of the month. By payor I assume the you are referring to payee, the person receiving the payment. If the payee is willing to receive the child support in installments you can get a letter signed stating that this type of payment is acceptable. This is not agood as a court order but such arrangements are put made all the time by parents.
