Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support

I did not pay child support for 8 months and more than likely i will be getting called into court in about a month. what would an atttorney do to help me out? I know im at fault here but i need help.

The first step is to acknowledge the problem, which you have done. The second step is to start paying the child support and including something on the missed payments. If this is a California order, you missed payments accrue interest of 10% until paid. If a child support agency is collecting the support then you may want to contact them in order to make arrangements on the back pay. If you get no assistance from them, hire an attorney.
