Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support

I am currently paying child support to my exwife and want to buy a house. I am worried that if i give my income information to the loan officer it can be used against me to raise my child support.

Re: child support

If you have not misrepresented your income previously in order to deprive your child of child support then it should not be an issue. Ot, if your income has increased significantly since child was last calculated, then you could stipulate (agree with the other parent in the form of an order that the judge also signs) to the correct increase prior to applying for a loan. Then you will have nothing to worry about.
