child support payments

this is really for my boyfriend he has one child here in cal and 2 in texas. he pays $515 for the one in cal every month plus he has to pay for his x's lawer fees for the divorce. The two in texas he pays $250 a month for both kids in texas. Is there any way that the child support can be lowered for the child in texas becouse of the two in texas and if he could get out of paying his x's lawer fees.thank you so much for your time and help.

The child support is based upon a formula set by the State of California, so unless he is making less money than he was when the $515 was awarded, then there is little to do about lowering it, unless he qualifies for a hardship for the other two children (assuming that has not already been considered). As far as the attorney fees go, if that is what was ordered by the Court, then he has to follow the Court's order. Sometimes bankruptcy is an option (for attorney fees, not support), but you would have to consult a bankruptcy expert, and it would depend on how the award for attorney fees was awarded. You would need to consult an attorney to look over the paperwork to get a more definitive answer.
