How do I petition the courts for a hearing in a child support case in which the mother is fraudulently claiming I owe her back child support.

Re: Child support

Your attorney will file a motion and bring the matter before the judge.

Re: Child support

You should contact a child support attorney in the county where your child support order is filed. If you have an attorney you probably will not need to travel to court. You should do this right away because a delay may prejudice your case. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

Re: Child support

If the mother has a claim pending, you need to respond appropriately. If she has informed the Friend of the Court you owe her money, you need to straighten it out. Your best bet is to contact a lawyer in the county/state where you live and have them look into the matter. If the court continues to operate under the belief that you owe money, your debt will remain outstanding and you will get a warrant issue for your arrest for your child support arrearage. You don't want that. Best to address it now/early than later.

Good luck.
