Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child support

hello,

The question i have is the following: I am a 16 year old male of a divored parent. As part of the agreement of the divore between my parents my mom got full custody and my dad didn't have to pay child support. I am wondering if i can bring him to court for child support since i am not on the people in the party that signed that agreement.

thanx

Re: Child support

Yes. A guardian ad litem is necessary for your suit (since

you are a minor). But agreements between parents dispensing with

child support are not enforceable. You have a right to be supported by

each of your parents, to their ability and proportional to their standard of

living.
