Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

The child support that I receive from my ex-husband- does that money include me using it to get my kids hair cuts or do we split that cost outside of the support? I am ALWAYS the one to take them.

Re: Child Support

I suppose you could bring a motion to ask for more support, and you might get a dollar or two more per month. That is unless the father is savvy and figures out that he can ask for a credit for the things he spends money on, which you don't, and then support could be reduced.

Re: Child Support

Child support is to reimburse you for some of the costs of raising the child. Except for statutory additions, child care and uninsured medical expenses, there is no provision for sharing of haircuts etc.
