Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child support regulations on a divorce decree

On my divorce decree it was stated that no more than $300 a month can be deducted from my wages and this was back in 2001. How long can that stay true and can the Child Support Division contest to that amount and try to increase afterwards.

Child support is set by law. A schedule for child support has been enacted in California to set support. The maximum amount that can be withheld is set by federal law. At any time that child support is not set at the scheduled amount the court has jurisdiction to modify it.
