child support

My spouse is divorced. The court ordered alaimony and childsupport to the ''X''. The ''X'' has passed, both male children are past 18. Where does the money now go?

Well, if the ex is dead, and the children are 18, your ex shouldn't have to pay child support nor alimony any more. You should consult with an attorney to have the judgment or order reviewed to determine what's going on and what he needs to do.

On-going spousal support terminates upon death. On-going child support terminates when the child turns 18 and is no longer in high school. If you owe arrears, those arrears would go to the estate of the deceased ex spouse.
