Legal Question in Family Law in California

My child support stops when my daughter turns 18. My job is currently taking the money directly out of my check. What do I need to stop that since the time is approching? DO I need a court order signed by a judge?

Technically you don't need a further order, but your employer may need it. On the California Judicial Counsel's website there are all the forms you need. If your ex will stipulate, there is a stipulation form and order to modify support. If not, there is a simplified motion to modify support. Bear in mind, though, the support obligation does not end until she is 18 AND graduates from high school or is no longer a full time student, OR when she turns 19 regardless of whether she has graduated.
