Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child support

I am currently unemployed and behind on child support for me 2 kids. Both with seperate mothers. I have paid them as much as I can with my unemployment, but am still behind. I did not have enough money to file for a modification in child support. They both claim they are taking me back to court for MORE money now. I am wondering if it is likely they will get more from me? or if they will just have me pay back support, since I'm not employed and the construction industry is doing so poorly now. Thanks.

Re: Child support

You need to contact a family law facilitator in your court house immediately, since you are unemployed you need to file for a modification immediately or you will accrue arrears which will never go away.

Please contact a local attorney in your area prior to taking legal action.

Good luck,
