Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child Support and Visitation
My son's father is going to start paying child support (my son is 5). Now that is going to pay it...I need to know what my visitation allowance might be for him to see his son.

Visitation is not based on the payment of child support, but should be based on the best interests of the child.

You have the cart before the horse. Child support is
determined by how much time the paying parent
spends with the child. If you have AGREED upon
an amount of child support, without regard to the
statutory formula for calculation same, you could
use the formula to "back into" a visitation
percentage. However, if you have AGREED to the
amount of support try to AGREE on the amount of
timeshare too. It's better for everybody, including
the child.
