Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child support and visitation

My son's father has filed financial hardship due to the fact he quit his job and went to work for his girlfriend's mother supposedly making half the pay. He at this time has 7% physical custody and now wants at least 50%. Our son is 20 months. He owes 1 month child support and 1 week child care. Can someone help.

Re: Child support and visitation

You should retain an attorney to subpena the records of the emmployer that he voluntarily left. Also, you may ask the court for a vocational assessment so that the court can determine his ability to earn, not just his actual earnings. There may be other remedies that you have depending upon more facts. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
