Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child support/marriage
I live in California and will be married in June to a man who pays child support to New Mexico. Once we are married, can his ex-wife then consider my income to increase child support?

Likely so.

Your income may lower his child support by putting him into a higher tax bracket. At the same time, when he goes from Single-1 to Married Filing Jointly-2 there are less taxes being taken out of his gross income which results in a higher net income and more child support.
For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
