Legal Question in Family Law in California

child visitation

I have children from a previous marriage. now I am leaving my 2nd wife and the judge is not giving me credit for time spent with them. 1. Do I get credit for them even though they are from a previous marraige? 2. Do I at least get credit for expenses for the portion of time that I do have them. I ask because the judge in my current case did not give me any credit for them when he figured spousal support. I am getting taken to the cleaners and think that I should be given credit for the time I spend with my kids. How does it work.

Re: child visitation

The judge should have given credit for the child support you are paying. Time has nothing to do with it. You should consult with an attorney if you don't already have one.
