child is 12 years old and does not want to visit with other parent on the weekends?

Most family law courts regards a child custody order as something akin to the requirement for a child to go to school. i.e. lack of attendance due to child's desire not to go, is not acceptable

Mr. Walker is basically right. I would add that this is not a simple internet q&a issue. I it is one of the more complex in Family Law. Talk to a lawyer in person.
