Legal Question in Family Law in California

Getting Children Back

I have full physical custody and joint leagal for 4 children. I have recently let the children go on a vacation with there father who has court order visits (1st 2nd and 4th weekends)The children have been with him for 2 weeks, and are due to come back on the 2nd of Jan. But I have just gotten a phone call saying he is not returning the children. What action can I take. I would drive up to get the kids my self but my car won't make the 9 hrs trip. Any advise would be thankfull.

Re: Getting Children Back

Generally the District attorney's office will investigate and take the necessary action to have the children returned to you.

Re: Getting Children Back

You can try filing a police and see if they will take action for not following court order. You should also file an OSC re contempt for his failure to follow the court order.
