children rights in death of father

My Sisters husband has passed away leaving 5 stepchildren. What are these children entitled to out of the Fathers artifacts of a lifetime gathering. No Will, so legally how would it be? They were married 18 years. None of thechildren hers.

This really a probate question not a family law question. However, it is my understanding that she would receive the community property, and the she would receive 1/3 of his separate property and his children would receive the other 2/3. However, she should check with a probate attorney regarding this matter. The amount of money involved in this matter would no doubt justify the cost of the attorney fees.
