Legal Question in Family Law in California
My child's biological father, who willingly gave up custody, vistation and contact (allowing my husband to adopt my son), continues to send greeting cards, which upset my son. We've refused every card that arrives, having them returned in the mail. My son has written "stop harassing me!" on the back of the last envelope but they still come, which upsets him greatly. What can be done?
Our final stipulation and order states, "Once respondent's visitation ceases the child may call, write or email Respondent if the child wishes to, subject to the permission of petitioner and her husband, but respondent will not initiate contact with the child except that respondent will be permitted to respond to any contact made to him by the child by returning a call, writing or emailing until the adoption occurs."

Get a restraining order which the police will also able to enforce.
You should seek a contempt of court citation against him in the court that issued the order.
