Legal Question in Family Law in California
my childs father is asking for full legal and physical custody of our toddler. I agreed during our hearing on ex parte orders for him to have temporary custody when the judge asked me if I agreed to the orders my ex and his attorney had prepared for the court. I believe the reason for me doing this is from intimidation and I was given no other options. It's hard to explain the stupidity on my part for agreeing to that. The ex has since excluded me from all hoidays in the past 10months. I had a dirty hair folicle test after that hearing. I've sinced started the family court drug treatment program. I go back in six months to be re evaluated and request unsupervised visitation which the judge said he would likely grant if all test are clean. My question is will permanate orders be made while Im going through this year program? And will the judge likely give full legal and physical custody to my childs father? I live in the bay area.

Ms. Kock is right. Both you and your child need you to have legal representation. I strongly recommend you take her up on her offer if her office is convenient to you. If not, I have facilities in Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco counties, and would be happy to provide you the same free consultation in a location near you.
