Legal Question in Family Law in California

My childs father has trust fund from his grandparents and other unclaimed assests. I am on State aid and they handle getting support from him. He shows them he has no assests and supports another child with help from his Mother who also shows no assests.

How do I find hidden assests.

If you have DCSS handling your child support case then they are probably doing the best they can do to locate hidden assets and find income from your childs father. You should try to inform them of what you suspect to be hidden assets and see if they can try to find and attach that income. Certainly if there is trust income being disbursed there would be some legal records and income tax returns which would show such income. You should speak with a local attorney if you are not satisfied with what DCSS is doing for you.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
