Legal Question in Family Law in California

Is my child's mother allowed, by law, to enter into my home? I have recently moved into a larger home, and my daughter's mother refuses to drop off my daugher (for our court-ordered visitation) because she is not welcome in our home.

She has no right to enter into your home if you don't want her to do so. Since there is court ordered visitation, it should indicate what is meant by drop off and pick up. If it is unclear, you may have to return to court in order to modify the order so that it is clear.

Mr. Bessler gives a correct answer and then wanders off into very incorrect statements. She has no right to enter your home absent a court order, which she is unlikely to ever get. You have NO obligation to get any clarifying order. If she refuses to drop off your child, go to her house with a copy of the order and a police officer who you have requested in advance for a "civil standby," and pick up your child. If she forces you to do that more than a couple of times, you are entitled to file an Order to Show Cause why she should not be found in criminal contempt of court.
