Legal Question in Family Law in California
My child's mother has told me she will not wish to collect child support now or in the future as our relationship is amicable. Is there a way to ensure that she can not attempt even if my name is on the birth certificate?

No. The right to support belongs to the child, not the mother. She can choose not to collect it, but should something happen to her, or should she or the child ever receive public assistance, a guardian for the child, or the Dept. of Child Support Services has a right to enforce the duty on behalf of the child. Your duty to the child is not something you or the mother can waive.
