childs right to refusal

My daughter is 13. hasnt seen her father since she was 3.

he just got out of drug rehab and now wants to see her everyother weekend. she doesnt want to. obviously she feels uncomfortable and doesnt know him. does she have the right to refuse to see him?

You should file a motion to set a child sharing schedule in which she can get to know her father is a safe and secure environement. If there is a current order, he may be able to enforce the order although it may be 10 years old. Be proactive and take care of this problems and the final results will be much happier for you and the child. You may wish to seek the advice of a child custody attorney in the county where you live.
