Legal Question in Family Law in California

chils support

I am going for a child support modification. since my ex hubby has given up his right to see our kids and he makes alot more than he did 3 yrs ago,(like 6k more@ month) and he is getting a lawyer to represent him. I thought in CA it was 25% of his gross if he has 0% of custody. Why would a highering a lawyer lower what he might have to pay? And does is there any baring on how much I make, since I am presently not working. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: chils support

You have good chances if you apply to the court for modification of the child support order. Certainly if the circumstances have changed there, then there should be a change in the support order also. I wish u all the best in your efforts.
