Legal Question in Family Law in California

Civil suit against ex after family law custody dispute

I would like to sue in civil court for my ex's malicious harrassment and use of the children in manipulating the situation, during the course of our current and past custody dispute. My ex recently obtained a TRO under false pretenses (I missed the ability to dismiss, as I represented myself) and has used these to slander my character at my children's school, and cause me much unnecessary stress and anxiety. He also declared BK immediately after our divorce 8 yrs ago, right after I agreed to trade my equity for him taking the debt. Is there a statute of limitations for the equity, and would this civil suit have potential? I am interested in a consultation with a local attorney.

You need to consult with an attorney. You cannot sue him. However, it may be possible to get the court to order him to pay sanctions for his bad faith conduct.
