Legal Question in Family Law in California

close child support

I reside in the state of California. I have an open child support case and my child receives medi-cal. Can I close my child support case. The non-custodial parent is active in the child's life, but is 14,000 in arrears. I don't care about the support, but how and will it effect the medi-cal benefits

Re: close child support

you can go to court and prove that you make enough money to pay for the child's support, you might be able to reserve child support. if the county is involved in collecting support because you are receiving county assistance, then they won't terminate support.
