co-habitating
If I co-habitate after my divorce, does that reduce my spousal support?

There's a chance that the fact that someone is helping to pay your rent, etc., that that means you have more cash flow, which could justify a reduction in spousal support.

There is a presumption under the Code that cohabiting reduces the need for support. That means that you would have to prove that there was no reduction in your need for support and the judge would decide. Bottom line, not a certainty but probably your spousal support would be reduced. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
