Legal Question in Family Law in California

Collecting expenses from ex husband

I have a court order for my exhusband to pay me 50% of medical/Dental bills and health insurance premiums for the children. He is not paying his 50%. What legal action can I take? Is this a contempt of court case?

You must provide him a copy of the medical bill, within as I recall, after you receive the bill. If he does not pay and you have met the requirement for notice then you can enforce the payment as you would child support.

If you did not provide notice of the medical bills then start now and then add in the old bills in the future if he does not promptly pay them.
