Trying to get ex to commit to a fromal parenting plan
My ex-wife and I got divorced in Jan 2001 in Orange County, CA. She has primary custody of our son (5 year old in 2001). Despite the MSA stating we would work out a detailed parenting plan after 18 months, she has refused to do so. As a result, I get to visit my son whenever she thinks it is convenient for her. This has made things very difficult especially since I moved to Idaho in 2005. What do I need to do to get a formal parenting plan ordered by the court? She has filed for a motion (hearing set for June 22) to move the jurisdiction to San Diego County, where she currently resides.

Aggressively assert your position that it is in the best interest of the child to have a close relationship with his father. The fact that the mother refused regular visitation will be weighed against her. File for custody as a companion matter. Get represented. I have 19 years experience helping fathers gain custody or 50% time share with their children. Contact me directly via telephone or e-mail at your earliest opportunity. 1.619.222.3504.
