Common law in CA?

Is there such a thing as a common law marriage in CA?

I have been living with the father of my child for 5 years. Just wondering if after a certain number of years we will be considered husband and wife legally.

California does not recognize common law marriage.

California has no statutory provision for a common law marriage. However, a couple that meet the requirements of a common law marriage, it will be recognized in California.
