Legal Question in Family Law in California

Common Law in California

I have been together with my partner for 10 yrs. in Sept. His Mother has asked me to move out of the place where we have been living. (Due to the fact that he is building her a home & we live in the maid qtrs) I am also lagally married, but have been separated from him in 1988. Is there any kind of ''alimony'' or other type of asset that I can qualify for asking? I only worked in those 10 yrs. for maybe 1 yr in total. The rest of the time I was working, helping him so he could build this home, & never got paid for any of the work that I did do for her or him. She said the work I did was to pay for the rent. Which she did not chg him. So is their a claim I can seek from them?

You might be able to get support from your ex-spouse, although it's doubtful.
