Legal Question in Family Law in California

Common Law

My girlfriend and I split up last April. We both agreed to be just

roommates, she even drew up a ''document''. Earlier this year she claims

that an attorney came into her office and informed her about common law

marriage, etc. becuase she moved from her residence into here. Sounds

pretty convenient. Now it sems as if she is try to use this ''advice'' to have

me be the devoted husband and such, i. e. she gets upset if I met someone

else. Recently she read a confirmation of a trip mailed to me she was

opened''accidentally'' by a neighborShe had drawn up a document, stating

that I had disrespected her and such, and to join her in putting the house

up for sale because it was ''community property''. I haven't signed anything.

Also I agreed to let her two grandsons stay here and she has tried to use

excuses as I am not setting a good example, etc., although I have not

brought anyone over here. She even took them to a date's house, so she

doesn't have room to pass judgment. She thinks she has the right to read

my e-mails over my shoulder and demand who I am talking to on the phone,

what she looks like, etc. Seems like she is conveniently reading too much

into everything because her fee
