If our "common law" marriage originated in Colorado and now continues in California what rights do we have?

None. There is no "common law marriage" in California. There are only misinformed people, mostly girlfriends, who fantasize that when their boyfriends die or leave them they will have inheritance rights, or community property rights, or the right to receive support, or any rights at all.
