Legal Question in Family Law in California

Community Cash Property

Me and my wife are currently seperated and heading towards divorce. We have about 100k in cash from a sale of our home. She went and bought a home under her parents name and gave them our money. She did this to pretty much make impossoble to touch during the divorce. What can I do in this situation? We have a small child together. Is this against the law? Can I go for custody if it is against the law?

Re: Community Cash Property

You need to get an attorney. You can trace the money into the home she bought and there are other remedies. So far handling this without an attorney has not worked out. You can place a lis pendes on the house that she bought to prevent her from disposing of or transferring that asset. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
