Community Property

In determining community property, do you include things purchased for the children (ie. computer, car, motorcyles, bed etc.) and who determines the value of the property?

With exception of gifts, all else acquired with community funds during marriage from date of marriage through date of separation, are community assetts.

Except for gifts and inheritance, community property is presumed to be any asset acquired between the date of marriage and the date of separation. Property can be valued through a variety of options, from appraisals to expert testimony.
